It is really fun to bet on horses, and online betting is one of the most convenient means to do so. Anybody can watch a race and appreciate impressive performances, but horseracing betting is what really leads this unique sport to the glare of publicity. Betting gives spectators compelling reasons to learn more about the horses, jockeys, trainers, tracks and other factors that can affect a runner’s performance.

Many newbies in horse racing betting are intimidated to bet, but there is no reason to be overwhelmed. The most important thing to do, as always, is taking the first step, and after that everything else will fall into place. Internet betting is now gaining popularity among bettors, as it offers a comfortable environment while betting, and it is much easier to search for unfamiliar terminology when sitting at a computer. The online bookmaker 888 sport (www.888sport.com) is a better option for online horse racing betting. Simply sign up by following the instructions given by the site to become a member.

After signing up, a member can now start placing bets on horses. If betting for the first time, feel free to experiment with place or win bets. A place bet is on a particular horse coming either third, second or first, while a win bet is on a particular horse coming in first. Of the several types of bets being offered, these are the most common and the easiest to understand.

The first advice any horse bettor should know is that the most popular and favourite horse will not win often enough. Just following your guts may lead to losing eventually, however it can be one of the ways to taste the excitement of betting. Researching for information on how to make better picks can be a good idea to be more knowledgeable with horse racing betting. There are lots of information about the subject, but be sure to read sound advice.

Sportsbetting is a massive worldwide business. But like anything where there’s money involved there are always con artists around. And these less-than-honest enterprises will use fancy language to woo you over and get your money. Luckily though, there are some tips to better help you on your way to making safer bets and or investments with your cash.

What you should and shouldn’t do with sports arbitrage

Firstly I am going to throw caution to the wind and say that if an ‘investment consultant’ from a sports-related enterprise tells you to hand over your cash in exchange for guaranteed returns – they’re lying. There is no such thing as guaranteed returns for games of chance. If you do happen to buy into one of these schemes, chances are you’ll be involved in a Ponzi-style scheme. These are the business scams that left scores of Wall Street players penniless as their greed got the better of them. I always maintain that if an investment is too good to be true – it invariably is. The operation of these scams is intelligent enough to keep you interested. They can easily appeal to you by promising very generous returns in exchange for your ‘investments’ but all they’re doing is using the new investors’ funds to give you these preliminary returns that will wow you. At the end of the day these Ponzi schemes are waiting to get the really big money deposits out of you and that’s when you lose out. The list of starry-eyed investors who have lost considerable sums of money to these investment scams is noteworthy. In the USA alone families entire 401K funds have been wiped out, college funds have been cleared and homes have been lost.

Beware of software scams that promise you great odds

This is one of the most common sports arbitrage type scams you can come across. There are companies specializing in providing you with sportsbetting software that will promise to provide you with the safest and most convenient betting platforms. They are typically tailored to function off several well-known sportsbooks but therein lies the risk. If any of the software gaming platforms of the sportsbooks change, then you’re in a spot of bother. And besides there aren’t really ideal ways to gamble with sportsbooks because gambling per say is based on uncertain outcomes at best. Instead what I always like to recommend to players is the following: sign up with a reputable online company providing a subscription service. Do not pay any lump sum deposits/purchases upfront because you can’t be sure that you will have recourse if things don’t work as planned. Many software scams are made in this way. They promise you the earth and deliver nothing but empty promises. And before we close up this blog post, I’d like to draw your attention to a very important element. It’s called an auto-betting scheme. There are companies – less than honest ones I might add – that promise to bet your funds in sports games, but they’re nothing but cons. Avoid them at all costs. Until next time – safe punting and steer clear of the aforementioned scams.

When you decide to place a sports bet, you’ve got several options. But one of them is to be avoided owing to the high levels of chicanery going on with its administrators. Let’s say for argument’s sake that you’re looking at placing bets for sports arbitrage trading. The HYIP will gladly take your cash and eagerly invest it in their funds. That they promise you substantial gains is par for the course. Expect to be told that you’re going to receive anywhere from 3% to10% return per day on the fund. Now for the news flash: this is all a big scam and here’s why.

There are stake limits imposed on bookmakers. In other words there are limits on all arbitrage trades.

It’s not possible to garner daily returns of over 3% if that’s what you were promised. There are administrative matters to deal with and this takes time to resolve.

If their operations are able to generate so much profitability then what on earth do they need your hard-earned cash for? Think about it: they could simply take out loans at low rates of interest from banks or lenders and make a mint for themselves using their ‘tried and trusted techniques.’ The Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme should have put paid to any ideas of the profitability of these fail-safe nonsensical schemes in any event.

The second scam I want to address and hopefully bury is the software scam

Let’s say that you punt at a couple of different sportsbetting sites and that you’re looking for ways to make your betting easier and more efficient. Perhaps you’re looking for ways to collect updates from specific teams, players or betting types. Now, provided that the sportsbooks sites have not been altered, any software that you purchase pertaining to them will automatically be okay to use. However if the functionality of the software has not been fully tested and verified then you’re going to get railroaded. There are many online operators promising to deliver fail-safe sportsbetting software to allow you to punt with precision.

Don’t fall for this scam. Firstly there is no failsafe method of punting and secondly sportsbetting is not a science or an art – it’s the luck of the draw for the most part. You can make educated guesses based on summary stats, but on the day it’s anybody’s game. So before you sign up for an expensive software purchase, think again. You’ll not be able to get your money back and in all likelihood you’re buying defective product. An area that you should take particular note of is whether or not these software gaming operators take subscriptions. If they do, they’ll have reason to update and improve their offerings – if not – avoid them like the plague.

I’m a punter and I like to wager on sports matches. What I like most is placing bets on teams I enjoy watching. Sure there are lots of matches that you can place wagers on, but I’m selective and I stick to what I know – a couple of matches of football here and there, cricket matches, games of rugby and some boxing matches. I like to call myself an informed sports bettor. But to the extent that I’m skilled at what I do I don’t consider what I’m about to share with you as ‘cheating’ per se – although some folks might consider these tips less than upstanding. Unless you know someone on the inside and he or she is going to leak information to you or perform/underperform there’s no way to really cheat in the real sense of the word. My cheat tips are actually nothing more than getting your hands on as much FREE information as possible.

So for example, if you’re going to be placing wagers on your favourite team and you realize that most folks don’t do a whole lot of research into the free facts. I’m talking about the overhead weather conditions, the win/loss ratios at home and away for teams, the coach’s comments prior to the game, the dissent or unity among the players and all manner of other important details. Choose a less popular, non-mainstream sport to wager on – something that others would typically not even bother much with. While you’re at it you may even make exotic bets and cash in from that perspective. Believe it or not these tidbits of information can prove invaluable to you as a punter – especially if you’re looking to wager large amounts of money on the games. So what do I suggest here? Well I suggest that you do your homework and do it well. If you’re really savvy you could use your expert knowledge of spreads and money lines to win a ton of cash off your bookmaker. And most importantly of all – learn to sift through the hype. There are a ton of marketing agencies promoting what they want punters to wager on. Don’t fall for the hype – make a concerted effort to know the sport you’re going to wager your hard-earned cash on. As the famous Mr T. used to say – “Pity the fool” – so stay sharp and stay focused!

Welcome to Sports Betting Online. Here you will find a collection of sports betting tips, arbitrage guides, and advice on everything from boxing betting to getting the most from your online betting sites.

I’ve gathered these tips over time, and hope you will get as much value out of them as I have.

If you are a sports fan, adding sports betting to your list of pre-game activities could be a nice distraction, or a way to turn your sporting interest into a profitable venture.

On this sports betting blog you will find a wealth of information about sports betting lines and sports betting picks, as well as a look at arbitrage betting, bankroll management, and other related subjects.

If these things sound intimidating at first, fear not. The principles are quite simple, and as you read you will find that a lot of it is common sense, and the rest can be managed with the aid of a good spreadsheet and a little patience! You will quickly come to wonder why you weren’t betting in this way before, and should see results – in the form of a healthier wallet, before the season gets too far through.

Picks are a subject of a lot of debate among bettors – should you buy them? Should you figure out your own? In truth, there’s no right answer – it depends on how much time you have, how well you know the sport, and how much fun you’d have picking out your own bets. If you want to save time, or aren’t all that confident, a handicapping service can be a good idea, and I’ll look at some of the things you should consider if you choose to use a handicapping service.

I hope you will enjoy my posts as much as I enjoy writing them. Sports betting is one of my passions, and while I don’t do it full time, I do enjoy a lot of success. If your ambition is loftier than mine, I wish you every success, and for those just out for fun, I believe you will find that in abundance!
